Lead Painter and Fabricator. Newly opened in North Kansas City, it is an immersive museum experience that celebrates and brings to life a century of American children's literature for visitors of all ages. Kelli leads the paint team in bringing the illustrations from children books to life in a large scale. Assists in the designing of exhibits, using her expertise in scenic design to help bring 2D illustrations into a 3D explorative world.

Teaching a class on the introductions to Scenic Design to a variety of students, and work to develop a range of skills and expectations required of being a scenic designer. Guided each student to create a full design for a play, including research, sketches, drafting, white models, and painters elevations.

Scenic and Carpentry Intern. Constructed and painted the scenery for 8 shows during the summer. Worked closely with directors, designers, and other technicians for 12 hours a day, six days a week. Worked in two different spaces: the Main Stage was in a thrust setting that had a support beam in the center that was worked into and around for each show, and the Poorman’s Cabaret Theatre was a small space that was 7 feet tall and about 20 feet across. Assisted with the designing, making, and painting of some of the properties for many of the shows.

Building and painting the scenery for all three of the main stage productions each year. Making, acquiring, and pulling properties for the shows. Aiding our Technical Director oversee the other workers in the scene shop.
